Simone Alberghini

Simone Alberghini – Figaro (January 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 28th)

Italian bass-baritone Simone Alberghini, the 1994 Operalia Grand Prize winner, has appeared in opera houses at the highest level world-wide since the beginning of his career. A Rossini-Mozart specialist, he regularly collaborates with internationally renowned conductors as Vladimir Jurowsky, Zubin Mehta, Andrew Davis, Gianandrea Noseda, Riccardo Muti, Seiji Osawa, Alberto Zedda, Maurizio Benini, Michele Mariotti, Renato Palumbo, Emmanuel Villaume, Nicola Luisotti, Eduardo Muller and Currenzis.

Plans include Donizetti’s Il Fusrioso all’Isola di San Domingo Ravenna and Piacenza; L’Elisir d’Amore and La Cenerentola in Washington; Così Fan Tutte and Gillaume Tell in Bologna; Anna Bolena in Moscow.

 

Marianna Pizzolato

Marianna Pizzolato – Rosina (January 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st)

Marianna Pizzolato made her debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro with Il Viaggio a Reims, becoming a reference performer for the main Rossini roles, as well as for Baroque and eighteenth century’s repertoire; she is now considered one of the foremost voices of our time. Mrs Pizzolato sang in the most prestigious theaters in the world under conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Antonio Pappano, Alberto Zedda, Bruno Campanella and Daniele Gatti, just to name a few. Plans include: Maria Stuarda and Nabucco at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; La Cenerentola in Liège and Seville; L’Italiana in Algeri in Toulouse; Tancredi in Santiago de Chile. On the concert side, Marianna Pizzolato will perform Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in Lucerne, Verdi's Requiem in Leipzig with the Gewandhaus Leipzig; Brahms’s Alto Rhapsody in Palermo. After her successful Japanese debut last March, she will return to Tokyo for a solo concert in 2015, while in 2016 she will make her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

 

Bruno Campanella

Bruno Campanella – conductor (January 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 28th)

With his deep knowledge of the Bel Canto repertoire Mo. Campanella is considered one of its greatest interpreters. Bruno Campanella, collaborates with the main theaters such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Opéra de Paris, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, the New National Theatre in Tokyo, the Liceu in Barcelona, the San Francisco Opera, always with huge success. He has received the Critics Award and a Gold Record Award with the live recording of Don Pasquale with Luciana Serra and Enzo Dara (Nuova Era). Future plans: I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Opéra National de Paris; La Fille du Régiment in Madrid; L’Italiana in Algeri in Toulouse; L’Elisir d’Amore in Liège; Roberto Devereux in Madrid.

 

Mario Cassi

Mario Cassi – Figaro (January 15th, 17th, 19th, 29th)

Already well-established as one of the most appreciated baritones of his generation, Mr. Cassi regularly collaborates with conductors as Riccardo Muti, Bruno Campanella, Roberto Abbado, in the most prestigious theaters in Italy and abroad. Mr Cassi recently reported a great success as Dottor Malatesta in Don Pasquale for the season’s opening night at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Antonio Albanese directing.

Future plans: Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; Pagliacci (Silvio) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse; Die Zauberflöte (Papageno) and Lucia di Lammermoor in Liège; Il Viaggio a Reims (Don Alvaro) in Amsterdam.

 

Sergio Vitale

Sergio Vitale - Figaro (January 22nd)

Recipient of various awards, Sergio Vitale has recently done his debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro singing Don Profondo in Il Viaggio a Reims. During 2010/2011 season Mr Vitale sang as soloist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. More recently Mr Vitale performed in Rigoletto at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia; Un ballo in maschera at the Teatro Regio in Parma; Falstaff (title role) at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano. He recently took part in a Japanese tour with the Teatro alla Scala, singing Marullo in Rigoletto; then he has been Figaro Il barbiere di Siviglia in Trento. Among his future plans, it is worth mentioning Rigoletto at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

 

Marilena Laurenza

Marilena Laurenza - Berta (January 15th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 29th)

Particularly appreciated for her staging ability, mrs Laurenza appeared in the past Seasons in important Theaters such as: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Comunale in Bologna, Politeama Greco in Lecce, Regio in Turin, San Carlo in Naples, Opera in Roma, Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca, working with conductors as Riccardo Chailly e Myung-Whun Chung. She recently performed Despina in Così fan tutte at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples under the baton of Jonathan Webb.
